Turquoise Tree

£140.00

This ethereal tree stands on the east facing cliff of Lundy Island, facing the Bristol Channel and surviving against the wild and brutal elements that assault this rocky outcrop. I created this striking emulsion lift from a Polaroid taken of the tree, with the expired film giving a lovely turquoise tint to the image. The particularly raw and textured hem of the emulsion lift serves to emulate the delicate tenacity to which this tree clings to life, testament to both the strength and fragility of survival on the edge.

Details:

Single Polaroid emulsion lift on St Cuthbert’s Mill Millford watercolour paper.

This piece is a signed original.

Custom Tulip wood frame and art glass.

Framed size is 8’ x 9’
